Better Together
Family owned and operated, the founders of Southvine Homes, Alex and Courtney Tetterton, have collectively spent over 35 years constructing a respected reputation as one of the most trusted homebuilders in Georgia. Alex and Courtney have a storied history in residential construction, development and homebuilding. They first met in Athens, Georgia, while Courtney was attending The University of Georgia and Alex was at Georgia Tech. After college, they were led back to each other through homebuilding. Courtney, following in her father’s banking footsteps, had been a construction lender but always had a bent to run her own business building houses. Alex, already running his own homebuilding company for a few years, offered to show her the ropes. Courtney and Alex formed a building company and built 14 homes together. At the end of it, they were in love with the homebuilding business. And each other.
Committed to Integrity, Faith, and Family
Alex and Courtney married and immediately were faced with navigating being a homebuilder, the hardest hit industry, during The Great Recession. Alex built throughout the recession and emerged from the other side with unprecedented experience, and more courage and passion than ever before. He paid back every trade and every loan strengthening and solidifying many professional relationships along the way. Alex is a man of his word and faithful to honoring his promises, a commitment which he attributes to his faith in God. Along the way, God has blessed the couple with amazing relationships, opportunities, and the strength to work through any obstacle. Courtney and Alex have three hilarious and busy children, who keep them laughing and on their toes. Realizing they are better together, Courtney and Alex are back working side by side, combining their unique combination of skills to create a home that will reflect your taste, your style, and meet your evolving needs. Alex’s keen eye for meticulous detail, creative design, and vision combine with Courtney’s business aptitude, effective communication, and understanding of all sides of the homebuilding and homebuying process to deliver a remarkable business, product, and experience.

Southvine Homes strives to build meaningful communities one home at a time. We are a faith-based, family-owned and operated homebuilding company run by Courtney and Alex Tetterton. We both grew up in the trade, Alex as the son of a developer and Courtney, the daughter of a banker to builder developers. With real estate in our blood, together we make an incredible team. Alex has earned and contributed to many awards for his quality homes and vision, including Community of the Year for all of Metro-Atlanta, Home Model of the Year, Top Safety Builder in the Southeast, and Top 20 Atlanta Home Builders.
